Judge Mathis in tha mornin’, Parker Posey at night!

Who doesn’t love Judge Mathis? I couldn’t really name too many, he’s the TV Court Judge in his 10th successful season on TV. The cases on his show range from bumbling idiots (those are fun when he shuts them down) to very touching and inspirational (one young man that he sentenced to get his G.E.D. and a job and it turned his life around).

Anyhow, I had a face to face talk with Judge Mathis about his life, career and new book, the novel Street Judge. He was just as entertaining and charming as you’d expect him to be. A very nice guy. I took my Mom, sister and Cynthia with me to the shoot and my Mom just about lost it when she met the judge. The women were going crazy!! You wouldn’t believe it!

On Friday night I headed over to the ultra-fabulous runway show “Fashion Fight’sPoverty”. They are a charity that I’ve supported for 3 years and they just keep getting better and better. I had the chance to sit down with the show’s host Parker Posey, the award winning actress that is best known for her work in Superman Returns and Best in Show. She and I have a few mutual friends and she couldn’t get over what a “small world” this is.. She’s just a quirky (in her dress and personality) as she is in the movies. The fact that they were serving lots of liquor and no food could’vehad something to do with it as well. I have an audio version of our interview that I’ll upload to TrenDC this week.
