I worked ALLLLLL day on Monday at my desk. Booking models, writing new restaurant reviews for the FabuList and thinking of innovative ways to bring you all more fabulousness on TrenDC! I decided to spend some time on YouTube catching up on the political and entertainment news from around the globe. I missed Sarah Palin’s interview with Katie Couric so I decided to check it out. Honestly, after two minutes, I put it on pause and held my hands to my head. As a person that appears on television often, it makes me extremely uneasy when anyone else gets in front of the camera and proceeds to crash and burn! She was totally unprepared to sit in across from Katie and be projected around the world. Were you as horrified as I was? I finally pulled myself together and decided to watch the entire interview. In a way, I feel badly for Sarah Palin. She’s been thrown into the second most intense and scrutinized position in the world. In these times, with the financial world in the worst shape it’s been in since the great depression, it is evident by watching her that she is not at all prepared for this kind of public attention or debate. I’m very interested to see what’s going to happen on Thursday when she and Joe Biden go head to head.

I stepped out for an hour late in the evening to meet up with Erika and Brock for a bite and then a drink at Marvin’s on 14th and U. The place has it’s moments but last night sucked. The people were acting like drunk frat boys, the bartendars were making bad drinks and I just wasn’t in the mood for all of that messiness. I guess we all deserve to have an off night.

What about the bail out bill being shot down? Do you all think that is going to be bad news for the republicans in the election? If you’re not aware of what’s going on, get to googlin’! We need to get a dialogue going because eventually, this is going to affect us all.
