Television, Runway Shows and Riding Boots… Oh La la!

It’s year two of one of the TV shows that I host; Land Rover’s “Where the Elite Meet”. When the United States hosts Australia May 8th & 9th, 2009, Capitol Polo Club will be the site of a spectacular convergence of cultures & fashion. Among the Americans and Australians in attendance, you’ll find fashion lovers, horse fanciers, polo fans, and music devotees, all with one thing in common. A desire to honor the Anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea, and enjoy Aussie style Fashion, Food, Wine & Beer together.

The America’s Polo Cup™ popular “Rockin the Runway™” Fashion show - Presented by the WASHINGTON POST “FW”, will once again be hosted by me and televised on DC 50, the home of The CW.

The Battle of the Coral Sea, was fought between May 4 – May 8, 1942, with most of the action occurring on May 8, which was a major naval battle in the Pacific Theater of World War II between the Imperial Japanese Navy and the Allied forces of the United States Navy and the Australian Navy. It was the first fleet action in which aircraft carriers engaged each other.
It is widely considered that without the US Navys support, Australia would have been defeated, and lost to Japan. The Australians have long had a love for Americans due to their support and friendship in the Battle of the Coral Sea and the relationship is naturally mutual.
