The weekend was pretty fabulous. On Friday I hosted “Bustin’ Loose”, a three day shopping boutique to  benefit the Lombardi Center’s Breast Cancer Research Division of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the Georgetown University Medical Center and Hospital. They seek to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer through innovative basic and clinical research, patient care, community education and outreach, and the training of cancer specialists of the future. Lombardi is one of only 41 comprehensive cancer centers in the nation, as designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and the only one in the Washington, DC, area. What began as a small clinic treating cancer patients has grown into a state-of-the-art cancer center housing more than 240,000 square feet of clinic and research space.

You all know I love to party, but I really love to party with a purpose. I met some amazing people at the event. First off, my co-host Pamela Sorensen and I had a blast catching up. I haven’t spend any quality time with Pamela in a while, she’s a good friend. My friend Jason Turner popped up to support me along with a few hundred others. I met a fabulous jewelry designer named Fran Twisdale from Raleigh, NC.
