    Tuesday down, Wednesday to go!

The G-Star opening event was fabulous. Kudos to Aba for pulling off another extraordinarily fabulous event. I arrived just in time to have our troop of DC Paparazzi pounce on me and my posse as we walked to the venue. I don’t know what they thought we were up to, but whatever it was, I guess it was interesting!

I finally decided on two new interns. Cherilyn and Conrad aka Nick are officially on “Team Paul”! They are young, bright and energetic. Cherilyn is more fashion and Conrad is Rock and Roll! The days are getting shorter for me as I load more and more onto my workload.

It occurred to me tonight that I have exactly one week to prepare for the book release party I am hosting for Hill Harper of CSI:NY. Hill is an amazing guy that I enjoy and respect.

NEWS FLASH!! I am going to allow one of my most fabulous viewers that is also a fan of Hill Harper’s to come to the exclusive V.I.P. Reception honoring my homie. Tell me why you deserve to hang with the literary power players and media heavyweights and I just might be sending you a very special invite to my event for Hill. Holla in the comment section! All my best friends!! xx

Events, events, events, what’s a boy to do!

I had an awesome Monday with The CW DC planning our upcoming America’s Next Top Model Cycle 12 castings! Something tells me we just might find a contestant for the show right here in DC. Girls, bring your “A” game! If you feel a little unprepared, you can always go to www.evolutionlook.com and purchase my “How Models are Made” video. It will tell you everything you need to do and what you need to know to be prepared for the runway!

Monday in the city was hot and a little quiet. I headed out for a bit and caught up with old friends. The big talk of the town is the G-Star runway show and opening tomorrow in Dupont Circle. Our Publicist and Party Planner to the DC Elite, Aba Kwawu is putting on the event. It’s sure to be a top notch, NYC style who’s who of fashion fabulousness! I’ll be covering the event with lots of yummy video and pics for you all to check out on Wednesday.

For now, the search for the most fabulous interns and assistants continues. I’ll choose more candidates tomorrow that are the brightest and best this town has to offer..

Prepare yourself for Lotus’ two year anniversary party on Friday, June 27th. It’s going to be the hottest ticket in town. Get there early so you’re sure to get in. Lotus is on the corner of 14th and K, follow the flashing lights and fabulous folks. If you need help getting in, hit me up the blog and I’ll see what I can do! Until then!! Peace and hair grease!! xx

Cycle 12 of America’s Next Top Model is fast approaching.. Ladies, start your engines!! You better buff, puff, moisturize and strategize because it’s about to be on. And since I am a multi-talented Television personality, I’ll leave that meeting and head over to TV One to meet about my next new project with them. As you all know, I’m on their new original series “Makeover Manor”. Catch it Saturday mornings at 10am! The show is getting rave reviews and with a cast of superstar experts, the production team of Powerhouse Productions and TV One all in the mix, it was bound to be a smashing success! Have you seen the show yet? Tell me what you think..

It’s gonna be another hot one out there today people. Stay hydrated and dress cool (Now I’m your Papa!!).. Oh yes and put on lots of sunscreen! You can’t be America’s Next Top Model if your skin looks like America’s Next Old Handbag! Ciao xx

    Miami in Potomac…

Since I woke up two hours too late to meet Hillary Clinton and crew for the big announcement, I decided not to rush around and get ready for the after reception. Instead, I took the afternoon and worked on my book “Becoming Fabulous”. The book is basically a guide on how to be fabulous in all aspects of your life. Your look, relationships, work life and just being good to yourself. More on that later..

By nightfall, I called my driver and told him to gas up the whip. We headed out of town on a rare trip to the burbs. My dear friend Delband was celebrating a very special birthday so my crew and I descended upon her sprawling crib in Potomac to wish our little Iranian Princess well. The food, music, people and the pool were all gorgeous. As you can see from the picture, I thought I was in Miami! Joelle and I stayed until about 12:30 and decided to hook up with Erika, Carlos, Hamed and “The Milk Man” at The Science Club on 19th St. I’d never been there before and I loved the vibe. From the outside it looks a little college-esque but once you get inside you discover it is a very cool spot.. Thumbs up to them.

Our big plan was to bbq on Erika and Carlos’ rooftop pool. Uhhhhh, if you’ve been outside you’ll understand why I’m at home watching “The Sopranos” on On Demand.

Maybe if it cools down a bit, I’ll head out later… What are you guys doing today?? Holla at me! xx

    Models and Makeovers..

Or should I say Models and “Makeover Manor”.. In case you didn’t know it, I am thrilled to be the style expert on the newly revamped original series “Makeover Manor” on TV One. We had a blast taping the show up in New Jersey and after months of waiting and lots of PR, the show debuted on May 25th. You can catch it on Saturday mornings at 9am on TV One (Comcast channel 75).

This weekend is jammed pack with things to do. A visit to The Clintons, Delband’s big birthday bash tonight, Big Tigger’s Celebrity Basketball Tournament and a PR@ Partners Fashion Show on Sunday at Town (I’m working with the models on their walk and the choreography).

I’ll holla at you in a minute. Stay cool and be cool! xx

A night with Gabrielle Union, Ricardo Chavira and Eric Ripert

My night in DC was filled with Stars! Friends old and new were in town to raise awareness, the bar… and the roof!! I started at West End Bistro where Erika and I met up with Eric Ripert of Bravo’s Top Chef for a little one on one about what’s fabulous in the Culinary world. Before I knew my text was going off saying Gabrielle Union was on her way to meet me at one of my favorite spots Coco Sala on F Street. If you haven’t been there yet, pull out your most stylish duds and get over to the newest hot spot in DC to see and be seen.

It was there that I hung out with my boy Ricardo Chavira, the TV husband of the stunning Eva Langoria on Desperate Housewives. I’ll say this, I know a lot of celebrities. He is definitely one of the most fabulous male actors of our time with a heart of gold and a charm that seems it is straight out of a Texas handbook (he’s from San Antonio).

Gabrielle was being her normal exuberant, glowing and fun self. I haven’t seen her in a few months and we had lots of time to catch up on the latest happenings in both of our lives. Don’t you guys just love her..

Gabrielle and Ricardo are here to support Walk for the Cure, the breast cancer fundraiser. They are shining lots of light and awareness on the cause and I am proud to call them both my friends. My other friend Flav was a hit tonight for his dancing style and overall fabulousness!

I will probably talk more about this night later tonight, for now, I will say…. I am so happy to have people in my life that make an impact. I love a good celebrity like anyone else, but the fact that these are people I know, love and support makes it all the more sweeter! xxx

She’s Got the Look, do you??

It’s been several months and finally the day has come. “She’s Got the Look” premiered on TV Land and it is sure to be a summer 2008 hit! I’m extra excited because I am the model coach and show starter on this very fabulous original series. The women ages 35+ are in a competition to see who has what it takes to win a modeling contract with Wilhelmina and the cover of Self Magazine. If you watch what’s coming up this season on “She’s Got the Look”, you’ll see me jumping up and down with the girls being very excited about how well they all did and what’ s to come throughout the show. Be sure to set it as a season pass on your DVRs and Tivos!

My skin is looking especially fabulous today and I am feeling good. I met with a few gyms and personal trainers and I’m narrowing down my next “hard body” home! The search for my next assistant also continues and I think I’ll have the new mini me chosen in the next day or two. If you want your chance, send your resume to Holly at Evolution Look. It’s going to be a great summer, lots of new projects, days at the beach and careful preparation for fashion week in the Fall!

Before I close I have to give credit where it is due. Barack Obama is officially our Democratic Party Nominee and I couldn’t be happier. Although I know Hillary personally and wished her all of the success in the world, I am thrilled that Barack has the chance to be our next President of the United States! GO BARACK, GO!!!

Whether you are a democrat or a republican, prepare yourself to vote! If you’re not registered, get it together! All of our voices and opinions matter!! xx

    Day 1 - Flawless Skin 101..

You guys heard me talk about how I was going back to my high maintenance ways yesterday! In case you didn’t know I always say that we all should; cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturize and protect our skin every day. I do pretty well with home care but it’s been a minute since I went in for a little professional help. So, I got up bright and early and called my girl Michelle Schoenfeld at Renu Med Spa in Chevy Chase. We’ve been trying to hook up for a while and there was no time like the present to get Renu-ed!

She set me up with the most amazing Skincare Specialist I have ever met in all of my years. I’m talking about from NYC to LA and everywhere in between, this woman was the probably the most knowledgable and skilled expert that has ever treated me.

She started with a series of questions about my skincare regimen and moved on to a thorough examination of what I was workin’ with. Although my skin was in pretty good shape, we decided to set our sites on as close to perfection as we could achieve. The room was dimmed with soft music and the most relaxing aromatherapy you could imagine. She started with a warm stream of steam that misted over my face to open my pores and relax my entire body. I won’t get into the small details but after an hour and a half I had a glycolic peel, microdermabrasion and my afternoon nap. If you are looking for someone to help you achieve the skin you’ve always dreamed of, run, don’t walk to Renu Med Spa in Chevy Chase!

I went straight out to meet my friend Ege for dinner and instantly he noticed that I had a fresh, youthful glow. Uhhh ohhh people… It’s happening! I feel a resurgence of high maintenance behavior coming on and I think I like it.

Tomorrow, I’m out to find the perfect gym and personal trainer to assist me in my quest as I put continue “The Search for Paul’s Glam Squad”!! Everyone needs there own Glam Squad.. Do you have one?

It’s been raining on and off and for a while and I’ve come to enjoy it. I had the chance to curl up in my den with a good book and also catch up with my dear friend Sidra Smith in LA. I love getting out on the scene, but when the rain comes down, it helps you to spend some good quality time with a very important person.. Yourself! xx

Even the Fabulous Falter from Time to Time!

No one can deny that Kimora Lee Simmons is totally fabulous. She looks great, has a whole lot of bling, loves her gorgeous little girls, flies private, you all know! Her show “Life in the Fab Lane” is certainly one of my favorites..I met Kimora Lee Simmons in 2002 backstage at a taping of MTV’s “Fashionably Loud”. Kimora was showing her Baby Phat line and I was there with Molly Sims and her boyfriend at time (George) shooting “Made”. Kimora was amazing. She told me about a very fun night I had out recently and didn’t realize she was there in the cut watching. We totally hit it off and she offered to donate some clothes for a charity event I was working with at the time. Even as fabulous as she is (and she is fabulous), recently she’s been feeling a bit out of shape. Sometimes when you’re the person that makes everyone else look and feel fabulous, your own “fabulosity” falters a bit. So, taking a page out of Kimora’s book, I’ve decided to embark on a 60 day total mind and body refresher!! I’m getting back to the gym, eating well, running with Oscar and basically doing everything that I know I need to do to be the most fabulous me. I’ve decided to put the entire process on a video diary so you can watch as I re-emerge into the stunning soul I was meant to be. Maybe I’ll have a few of you do it with me. Do you need a total mind and body makeover? Tell me your story and who knows, maybe we’ll be workout buddys!!! xx

    Viva La Yves Saint Laurent!

At the age of 19, I was living in New York City, finding myself, becoming a man and yes, becoming fabulous. I had just gotten my first American Express card and I wanted to buy a daily carry-all bag that would show those NYC Fancy Fashion Dynamos that there was a new bad a** you know what in town! I headed over to Madison Avenue and scouted fiercely for two days for just the right bag that could help define my brand new, New York City look. Prada was too big, Gucci too small but Yves Saint Laurent was just right!

I knew very well of the fabulous French designer and adored the fact that every other person walking down the street didn’t have his logo stamped across their body. The brand was exclusive yet fresh and definitely not something that you’d later see knocked off on Canal Street with the fake Louis Vuitton and Gucci. I sat in the Park yesterday and talked to one of my oldest and dearest friend’s Gloria Harris. We reminisced about the fabulous life and times of Gigi and Paul (or Paulisandro as Gloria calls me).. I couldn’t remember how I was able to get into all of the most exclusive parties and clubs, get free food and drinks at the best restaurants and basically live like a little New York City Prince.. Gloria reminded me that all of my special treatment had nothing to do with being on TV. This was all happening years before I got my first TV gig.. Gloria said it was my personality and the way I treated people. She said that the people just really did like me. Although I loved that answer, when I heard of Yves Saint Laurent’s passing on Sunday, it made me think of my fabulous YSL bag. I thought that maybe, just maybe, carrying the “bad a** you know what” bag, may have given me a little extra boost of confidence. And that confidence, helped take a young kid from DC and make him into a “bad a** you know what”. Thank you Yves.. peace xx
